Latin, Arabic, And Meaning Chair Verses - آية الكرسى - Quran Translated

Latin, Arabic, And Meaning Verse Readings.

Please note, that this Chair Verse is included in the 255th Verse of Surat al Baqarah and can also be called the Throne Verse. Some mufassirin interpret it with the knowledge of God and some interpret it with His power.

There is a history that mentions that the Verse of the Chair is the greatest verse in the Qur'an because of its content about the oneness of the Lord Allah and His absolute dominion over all things and that He had not had the slightest difficulty in maintaining them.

Imam Ahmad narrated from Ubay ibn Ka'ab, that the Prophet once asked him: "What is the greatest verse in the book of Allah?""Allah and His messenger know better," said Ubay bin Ka'ab.So the Prophet repeated the question, then Ubay bin Ka'ab replied: "Verse of the Chair." Then he said: "You will be weakened by knowledge, O Abu Mundzir. For the sake of Dzat whose soul is in His hands, indeed, the verse of the chair has one tongue and two lips that always purify al-Malik (Allah) on the side of the pole of 'Arsy." (Tafsir Ibn Katsir). Latin, Arabic, And Meaning Chair Verses

Latin Seat Verse:allaahu laa ilaaha illaa huwa alhayyu alqayyuumu laa ta/khudzuhu sinatun walaa nawmun lahu maa fii alssamaa wawamaa fii al-ardhi man dzaa alladzii yasyfa'u 'indahu illaa bi-idznihi ya'lamu maa bayna aydiihim wamaa khalfahum walaa yuhiithuuna bisyay-in min ' ilmihi illaa bimaa syaa-a wasi'a kursiyyuhu alssamaawaati waal-ardha walaa yauuduhu hifzhuhumaa wahuwa al'aliyyu al'azhiimu

Meaning of The Chair Verse:God, there is no God (who has the right to be worshipped) but he who lives eternally again constantly taking care of (His creatures); not sleepy and not sleeping. His possession is what is in the heavens and on the earth. No one can intercede on God's side without His permission. God knows nothing before them and behind them, and they know nothing from the knowledge of God but what He wants. The seat of God covers the heavens and the earth. And Allah does not feel the weight of maintaining both, and Allah is all-high again most great.

Interpretation of the Chair Verse:In this verse Allah swt. explains that He is god almighty and there is no god but him, only He is the one who has the right to be worshipped. As for the other gods worshipped by some people for untrue reasons, there are indeed many of them. But the real God is only God alone. Only He is the One who lives eternally, who exists by Himself and He is also the One who always governs His creatures without the slightest omission.

Then it was reaffirmed that Allah swt. never sleepy. A person who is in a drowsy state certainly loses consciousness so that he will not be able to do his job well even though Allah swt. always take good care of and care for His creatures, never losing consciousness or neglecting.

Because Allah swt. never sleepy, of course He never sleeps because drowsiness is the beginning of the sleep process. And people who sleep lose consciousness more than people who are sleepy.

Another attribute of God mentioned in this verse is that He is the one who has power and who has what is in the heavens and on the earth. It is He who has infinite power and power so that He can do what He wants. Everything is in His dominion so that none of His creatures though the prophets and angels can give help except with His permission let alone the statues which the pagans regard as their helpers.

What is meant by "help" or "intercession" in this verse is the help given by the prophet to his people in the doomsday to obtain leniency or freedom from God's punishment. The intercession will only succeed if God commands it or allows it.

Another attribute of God mentioned in this verse is that God always knows what is happening before and behind His creatures, while they do not know anything from the knowledge of God, but merely what He wants them to know. The seat of God (i.e. His knowledge and dominion) covers the heavens and the earth. And God did not feel the slightest weight in caring for His creatures who were in the heavens and on the earth, and in all the realms of His creation. Allah is All-High again Most Great.

They do not know the knowledge of Allah swt. except what He had desired for them to know. Thus, all that people can know is what the knowledge that God has given them can reach, and is of very little quantity compared to His vast knowledge. This is confirmed by God in His word:

Means:....and you are not given knowledge but a little. (Q.S Al Isra': 85)For the benefits or efficacy of the Chair Verse, it can be seen here.
