Latin and Arabic Chair Verse Prayers and Their Meanings, See 5 Virtues

JAKARTA, iNews.id - The Prayer of The Chair Verse and its meaning has virtues for those who routinely practice it. This Prayer of the Chair Verse is recommended to be read after fardhu or obligatory prayers.

It is called the Chair Verse because in the verse there is a sentence (chair). The Seat Verse is found in Sura Al Baqarah verse 255.

Actually, there are several other names besides Ayat Kursi, namely: A'zhomul ayaat, Sayyidatu Ayyil Qur'an, Afdholu ayyil Qur'an, Asyrofu Ayyil Qur'an.

Here's the Latin Chair Verse prayer and its meaning:

اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ اَلْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ ەۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّلَا نَوْمٌۗ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهٗٓ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِهٖۗ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۚ وَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهٖٓ اِلَّا بِمَا شَاۤءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَۚ وَلَا يَـُٔوْدُهٗ حِفْظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ

Latin: Allaahu Laailaaha illa huwal hayyul qayyuum. Laa ta'khudzuhu sinatuw walaa nauum. Lahuu maa fissamaawaati wamaa fil ardhi. Mangdzalladzii yasyfa'u 'indahuu illai bi idznih. Ya'lamu maa baina aiydiihim wamaa kholfahum walaa yukhiithuuna bisyayin min 'ilmihii illaa bimaa syaaa a. wasi'a kursiyyuhus samaawaati wal ardho. Walaa yauduhuu khifdhuhumaa wa huwal'aliyyul 'adhiim.

That is to say: God, there is no God but he who lives eternally again constantly taking care of (His creatures), not sleepy, and not sleeping. His possession is what is in the heavens and on the earth. No one can intercede on God's side but with His permission. God knows all that is before them and behind them, and they know nothing from the knowledge of God but what He wants. The seat of God covers the heavens and the earth. And Allah does not feel the weight of preserving both, and Allah is all-high again The Great. (QS. Al Baqarah: 255).
